Being drawn to yoga after experiencing the physical, emotional healing that it provided during the long and continuous road to recovery from an eating disorder, Kegan furthered her journey to deepen her understanding of yoga and pursued a 200hr teacher training in Vinyasa and Hatha at Yoga OMazing.
Though she loves the flow and cardiovascular benefits of vinyasa yoga, her body has struggled to keep up with the demand. Through some work with a physical therapist, the spark of alignment, correct posture and slower movements became more important to her practice than flowing to keep up with her breath. Going to physical therapy really slowed down her practice, breath and made her more aware of her movements.
This new connection led Kegan to seek an Alignment-Based yoga training. During the pandemic she completed a 300hr Alignment-Based training through YogaOAK (previously Lundberg Yoga) and is now a certified 500hr yoga teacher and a level 1 & 2 Alignment Based Yoga Specialist.
